Dr. Pratip Patel, Medical Director

Dr. Pratip Patel, CMD, is the medical director of Select Specialty Hospital – Kansas City. In this role, he oversees its medical quality and clinical operations.

Dr. Patel is board-certified in internal medicine, and also manages United Medical Group.

Previously, he served as clinical assistant professor in the University of Kansas Medical Center’s department of medicine and spent more than two decades as medical director of a post-acute care center.

Dr. Patel graduated from The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, India and completed his residency at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center in New York.

He is a certified medical director by the American Medical Directors Association and member of the Kansas City Metropolitan Physicians Associations board of directors, an independent physicians association.
