Fawna Wilcox is the chief nursing officer for Select Specialty Hospital - Hampton Roads. In this role since 2025, Fawna functions as the nursing leader and is responsible for nursing practice, wound care, nursing education and the dietician staff.

Before taking this role, Fawna worked as a bedside registered nurse In Select Specialty Hospital - Hampton Roads. Prior to Select Specialty Hospital, she worked at a short-term acute care hospital as an assistant nurse manager in an 18 bed ICU unit with more than 75 staff members, ensuring optimal patient care and satisfaction. She also served as a registered unit coordinator and floor nurse in the same unit where she began her career in healthcare. Prior to healthcare, Fawna was a special education teacher for 18 years.

Fawna attained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Walden University, her Associates in Nursing from Virginia Peninsula Community College, and her Master of Education from Waynesburg University. She is a member of the Virginia Nurse’s Association and the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses
