Dr. Louis Volino

Dr. Volino is the associate medical director at Select Specialty Hospital - Boardman. In his role, Dr. Volino collaborates with the executive leadership team to develop and implement clinical policies, oversee quality improvement initiatives and ensure that medical practices align with the latest evidence-based standards.

Dr. Volino has over 10 years of clinical and leadership experience. Throughout his career, Dr. Volino has been a passionate advocate for patient-centered care, emphasizing interdisciplinary collaboration, technological innovation, and continuous professional development for the medical staff. He had been instrumental in leading projects that improved patient outcomes, reduced hospital readmission rates and streamlined clinical workflows.

Dr. Volino earned his medical degree from Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed a residency in internal medicine at St. Joseph Warren Hospital in Warren, Ohio.

In addition to his administrative duties, Dr. Volino continues to practice hospital-based internal medicine in the Boardman/Youngstown, Ohio area, staying closely connected to patient care.
