David D. Muggli, MBA, BSN, R.N., FACHE

David Muggli

David D. Muggli has been the CEO of Select Specialty Hospital – Cincinnati North since 2017 and the market CEO since 2024. In these roles, he oversees strategic direction, operations, business development and the patient care experience.

Previously, he served as assistant vice president of cardiovascular and critical care services at HCA’s Medical City North Hills Hospital in Dallas/Fort Worth. Prior to that, David was associate chief nursing officer at HCA’s Johnston-Willis Hospital in Richmond, Virginia.

He began his career in Denver, Colorado as a bedside nurse specializing in cardiovascular and neurological/trauma intensive care.

He is an active member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, is certified in healthcare leadership as a fellow and currently serves as the regent for Ohio.
