Jess Brasher

Jess Brasher is the senior director of business development for Select Specialty Hospital - Jackson and Select Specialty Hospital - Belhaven. In this role since 2004, Jess is responsible for the development and implementation of marketing and census development strategies for the hospitals. He oversees the Business Development Team, education of the referring medical community, patients and their families, generation of appropriate referrals, the admissions screening process, payor contracting and relations and physician recruiting and relations. Jess is also responsible for training, coaching and mentoring business development teams at other Select Specialty Hospitals around the country.

Prior to this role, Jess worked as a clinical liaison for Select Specialty Hospital - Jackson from 2002 to 2004. Before joining Select Medical, he worked as an intensive care unit nurse at other hospitals in the Jackson area from 1998 to 2002. Jess worked as an EMT from 1994 to 1998.

He attained his Bachelors of Science in Nursing from The University of Mississippi Medical Center in 1998, and his Emergency Medical Technician certification from Hinds Community College in 1994.
