Timothy Varney, Chief Nursing Officer

Timothy Varney, BSN, is the chief nursing officer at Select Specialty Hospital – Ann Arbor. Promoted to the role in 2018, he oversees daily hospital clinical operations and advancement, staffing and patient care.

A patient-centered leader, he has held clinical positons including house supervisor at Ann Arbor, travel nurse and charge nurse with Henry Ford Health System’s emergency department.

Timothy earned a practical nursing license at Detroit Practical Nursing and both an associate and Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Schoolcraft College and South University, respectively. He is pursuing a master’s in health care administration.
