Chief Executive Officer

Joey Swiney

Joey Swiney is the CEO for Select Specialty Tallahassee. In this role since 2024, Joey is responsible for daily operations, as well oversight of all clinical and ancillary areas.

Before taking on the role of CEO, Joey worked with Select Specialty Hospital from 1999-2005 as CNO, COO and CEO in the Tennessee market. Prior to Select, Joey spent over 35 years in the health care arena as a registered nurse and in case management and medical sales. He has also served as vice president of operations for a 38-hospital system.

Joey attained his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
