Chief Nursing Officer

Angel Galvez

Angel Galvez is the chief nursing officer of Select Specialty Hospital – Fort Myers. In this role, he directs the hospital’s clinical services and oversees the implementation of programs, policies and procedures. Prior to joining the SSH Fort Myers team, he oversaw Select Specialty Hospital - Miami as chief nursing officer for four years.

Before his time as chief nursing officer, he spent nearly three years leading Select Specialty Hospital - Miami’s clinical team as the hospital’s nurse manager. Angel joined Select Specialty Hospital -  Miami’s team in 2013, having served as an ICU nurse, house supervisor and assisting the infection control and quality departments. Earlier, he worked at Coral Gables Hospital as assistant nurse manager of the intensive care unit (ICU).

He earned associate and bachelor degrees in nursing from Keiser University. Angel attained CCRN certification in 2018. He is a member of the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN), the American Nurses Association (ANA) and the American Organization for Nursing Leadership (AONL).
