Dr. Hummayun Ismail, Medical Director
Dr. Hummayun Ismail is the medical director for Select Specialty Hospital - Wilmington. In this role, he is responsible for clinical care, conducting multidisciplinary and weaning rounds and other medical needs.
Dr. Ismail is board-certified in internal, pulmonary, pulmonary critical care and sleep medicine. His major research interests include COPD, asthma and sleep apnea.
He graduated from Down Medical University of Health Sciences and completed a fellowship in pulmonary medicine at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine’s Penn Presbyterian Medical Center. He earned additional fellowships from the American College of Physicians and American College of Chest Physicians.
Dr. Ismail is a member of the Academy of Sleep Medicine.
