Sandra Gilley, Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Sandra Gilley is chief medical officer of Select Specialty Hospital - Birmingham. In this role, she oversees patient care, develops policies, procedures and manages medical resources. Additionally, she sits on the medical executive committee and governing board for Select Specialty Hospital.

Dr. Gilley is board-certified in pulmonary diseases, internal and critical care medicine. She also serves as adjunct faculty for the Baptist Health System’s internal medicine residency program and the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine, Auburn campus.

She received a bachelor’s degree in health care administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr. Gilley earned her medical degree from the University of South Alabama, completed an internal medicine residency at Baptist Health Systems and a pulmonary diseases and critical care medicine fellowship at the University of South Carolina.
