Ryan Hemmert

Ryan Hemmert is the chief executive officer of Select Specialty Hospital – Columbus South. Promoted to the role in 2022, Ryan oversees all hospital operations, strategic planning, business development relationships, quality and clinical program development, employee initiatives and overall compliance standards.

Before accepting the position, Ryan held escalating roles of responsibility for Select Medical since 2014. He served as CEO at Select Specialty Hospital - Southeast Ohio and Columbus East, COO at and senior director of pharmacy at Select Specialty Hospital - Columbus Victorian Village. Prior to joining Select Medical, he worked at Mary Rutan Hospital for eight years in both the pharmacy and food service departments. During his career, Ryan has developed a strong background in operations, finance, project management, contract negotiations and physician collaboration.

Ryan attained his Doctorate in Pharmacy from Ohio Northern University and his Masters in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin.
