Chief Executive Officer

Joanne McGovern, MSN, RN, CCRN

Joanne McGovern is the chief executive officer for Select Specialty Hospital - Atlantic City. In this role since 2022, Joanne is responsible for the hospital’s overall strategic plan as well as daily operations. During her tenure, Joanne has overseen improvements in quality care, patient satisfaction and overall operations.

Prior to joining Select Medical, Joanne served as senior vice president and chief nursing officer at Cancer Treatment Centers of America. Throughout her 41-year nursing career Joanne has held roles in nursing management, education and clinical care.

Joanne attained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Gwynedd-Mercy College and a master’s degree in nursing from Drexel University. Joanne holds a certification in critical care nursing and is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
