Market Chief Executive Officer

Shannon Canard

Shannon Canard is the market chief executive officer of Select Specialty Hospital - Jackson and Select Specialty Hospital - Belhaven. In this role since early 2024, he is responsible for day-to-day operations of the Jackson hospital and oversees operation of the Belhaven hospital with the assistance of their CEO.

Shannon previously served as the CEO of Select Specialty Hospital – Belhaven and Regency Hospital - Jackson. Prior to Select Medical, he was CEO of Landmark Hospital in Columbia, Missouri and clinical director of surgical services at University of Mississippi Medical Center.

Shannon earned a Master of Health Science Administration from Mississippi College, Bachelor of Nursing from the University of Mississippi and a diploma of nursing from Baptist School of Nursing in Memphis, Tennessee.
