Dr. Donita Croft, Medical Director

Dr. Donita Croft is the medical director at Select Specialty Hospital – Madison. In this role since 2006, she oversees medical services.

Dr. Croft is board-certified in pulmonary and critical care and also practices at the University of Wisconsin.

She received a medical degree at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. Dr. Croft completed an internal medicine residency and pulmonary and critical care fellowship at the University of Iowa.

While at the University of Iowa, she also earned a Master of Science in epidemiology; she served as a commissioned officer in the United States Public Health Service’s Epidemic Intelligence Service and won an applied public health fellowship at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

She is Fellow in the American College of Chest Physicians and member of the American Thoracic Society.  Her clinical interests include chronic critical illness and patients’ goals of care and has lectured throughout Wisconsin on these topics.
