Denise Berlongieri, Chief Nursing Officer

Denise Berlongieri, R.N., MSN is the chief nursing officer of Select Specialty Hospital – Madison. In this role, Denise oversees nursing and radiology practices/operations.

A nurse for more than 30 years, Denise previously served as a nurse manager for another LTAC company, educator for associate and baccalaureate nursing programs / education facilitator for University of Phoenix and market chief nursing officer for Select Medical’s Regency Hospitals in Northwest Indiana.

Denise also worked as Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS) manager for a Medicaid-managed health plan, developing its HEDIS program as a way to ensure and measure members received appropriate, quality care within their benefits and as the company’s interim director of quality.

Denise earned a master’s degree in nursing and healthcare education and Bachelor of Science in nursing from the University of Phoenix and an associate degree from South Suburban College.
