Dr. Brenda Vozza, Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Brenda Vozza is the chief medical officer of Select Specialty Hospital – Longview. In this role, she oversees weekly team rounds and helps to formulate and implement policies, procedures and clinical protocols.
Board-certified in internal medicine, hospice and palliative care, Dr. Vozza also serves as medical director for Angel Care Hospice, Stebbins Hospice and Autumn Leaves Nursing and Rehab. She spent eight years as core faculty and clinical associate professor of medicine at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler’s internal medicine residency program.
Major research interests include hospice and palliative care, geriatric psychology, vaccinations and preventative care.
Dr. Vozza conducted undergraduate studies at State University of New York at Albany and received a medical degree from St. George's University School of Medicine. She completed a residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and is a fellow of the American College of Physicians.
She is a member of the American Medical Association, American College of Physicians, Texas Medical Association and current president of the Rusk County Medical Society.
