Dr. Abdelhamid Alsharif, Medical Director

Dr. Abdelhamid Alsharif is the medical director of Select Specialty Hospital – North Knoxville. In this role, he leads the medical staff and multidisciplinary team in caring for medically complex and chronically critically ill patients, oversees multidisciplinary rounds and collaborates with hospital leadership to optimize care and outcomes.

He is board-certified in internal medicine, pulmonary/critical care and sleep medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Additionally, Dr. Alsharif is a pulmonary critical care specialist with StatCare Pulmonary Consultants.

He earned a medical degree from University of Tennessee College Of Medicine in Memphis and completed an internal medicine residency and fellowships in pulmonary/critical care and sleep medicine at the same location.
