Steven McCarty, Chief Nursing Officer

Steven McCarty, MBA, BSN, R.N., is the chief nursing officer of Select Specialty Hospital – North Knoxville. In this role since 2020, he is responsible for organizing and administering the hospital’s clinical services department, regulatory compliance, employee engagement, recruitment and retention.

Before joining Select, Steven served as CNO for an HCA Healthcare hospital in North Carolina and was director of emergency services and director of nursing for Tennova Healthcare.

Steven earned a Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Science in Nursing from King University and is a board member for its College of Nursing.

He also received training through the Tennessee Center for Performance Excellence (TNCPE) where the core values of any organization are focused on continuous improvement, creating value and results-driven, customer-focused excellence.
