Dr. Louis Eberle, Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Louis Eberle has served as the chief medical officer and pulmonary program director for Select Specialty Hospital – Memphis since 1999. He is also the hospital’s laboratory director.

Dr. Eberle is triple board certified in internal, pulmonary and critical care medicine. He has more than 34 years of experience in the medical field, working as an inpatient physician management group hospitalist, assistant professor of pulmonary/critical care at the University of Tennessee and Veterans Administration Hospital’s pulmonary/critical care unit staff physician.

He earned a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from Christian Brothers University and medical degree from the University of Tennessee (UT) in Memphis. While at UT, he completed an internal medicine internship and residency as well as a pulmonary and critical care fellowship.

Dr. Eberle is a fellow in the American College of Chest Physicians and member of the Memphis Medical Association, Tennessee Medical Association and American Medical Association.
