DeeAnn Shipley, Chief Nursing Officer

DeeAnn Shipley, R.N., is the chief nursing officer for Select Specialty Hospital - Knoxville. In this role, she is responsible for organizing and administering the hospital’s Department of Clinical Services, as well as regulatory compliance, employee engagement and recruiting.

DeeAnn was promoted to the role in 2020 after serving as director of quality management. Previously, she was a relief charge nurse, floor nurse and precepted new nurse graduates. DeeAnn joined the hospital in 2016 following graduation from nursing school.

Earlier, she held positions as a critical care manager for an emergency medical services company, flight paramedic and critical care paramedic.

DeeAnn received an Associate of Applied Science in nursing from Pellissippi State Community College and Associates of Applied Science and Science in general technology with emphasis in emergency medicine and business management, respectively, from Roane State Community College. She is a member of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses.
