Dr. Robert Pickerill, Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Robert Pickerill is the chief medical officer of Select Specialty Hospital – Johnstown. In this role, he oversees the hospital’s medical services and serves as its laboratory director. Previously, Dr. Pickerill was the medical director of the pulmonary diseases program and vice chairman of the hospital’s governing board.
Additionally, he is the medical director of Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center’s pulmonary rehabilitation program and, earlier, held the same role for its pulmonary division.
Dr. Pickerill is board-certified in internal medicine and pulmonary diseases.
He earned a bachelor’s in chemistry and mathematics and medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Pickerill completed an internal medicine residency at Western Pennsylvania Hospital and pulmonary diseases fellowship at Allegheny General Hospital.
Dr. Pickerill is a fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians, member of the American Medical Association, Pennsylvania Medical Society and past president of the Cambria County Medical Society.
