Dr. Vivian Starr, Medical Director

Dr. Vivian Iaderosa Starr, D.O., is the medical and lab director of Select Specialty Hospital – Youngstown. In this role since 2009, she oversees multi-disciplinary rounds, lab utilization and quality and medical records officers. Additionally, Dr. Starr works with case managers on peer-to-peer reviews and admissions.

Board-certified in internal medicine, she is also medical director of a local nursing home and general internal medicine section chair at St. Elizabeth Mercy Health.

Dr. Starr previously served as medical director of the Woodlands home health care agency and Park Vista of Youngstown and Austintown Communicare Health Care Center.

Dr. Starr earned a Bachelor of Science at Youngstown State University and her medical degree at Des Moines University of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed a residency at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital.

Dr. Starr is a member of American Osteopathic Association, American College of Osteopathic Internists and president of the Mahoning County Medical Society’s advisory board.  She is also a clinical professor and resident teacher for Ohio University’s Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine.
