David Schott, Chief Executive Officer

David Schott is the CEO of Select Specialty Hospital – Columbus South. In this role, he oversees strategic direction, operations, business development and the patient care experience.

Previously, he served as vice president and chief operating officer of South Georgia Medical Center. While there, he recruited more than 30 specialists and primary care physicians and doubled the hospital’s patient experience rating.

Prior to that, David was assistant administrator of operations for East Georgia Regional Medical Center and, earlier, a senior quality engineer for OhioHealth.

David holds a doctorate in public health leadership and master’s degree in health service administration from Georgia Southern University, master’s degree in tropical medicine from Tulane University and bachelor’s degree in economics from Ohio State University.

He is also a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
