Dr. Timothy Cannon, Medical Director

Timothy Cannon, M.D., FCCP, is Select Specialty Hospital – Belhaven’s medical director. In this role, he oversees the hospital’s medical services. Dr. Cannon is also a partner at Jackson Pulmonary Associates in Jackson, Mississippi and director of Mississippi Baptist Medical Center’s nutritional support services.

Previously, Dr. Cannon held numerous leadership positions at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center including, chief of staff and chief of the credentialing committee.

He is a fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians (ACCP) and member of the American Society of Parental and Enteral Nutrition (ASPEN), American Thoracic Society (ATS) and the Mississippi Thoracic Society.

Dr. Cannon received a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Millsaps College.  He earned a medical doctorate from and completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Mississippi School of Medicine. Dr. Cannon completed a pulmonary and critical care fellowship at The University of Mississippi.
