Cara Renfrow, Chief Nursing Officer
Cara S. Renfrow, MHA, BSN, R.N., is the chief nursing officer of Select Specialty Hospital – Saginaw. In this role, she is responsible for patient safety, outcomes and patient experience as well as clinical staff development and engagement.
A nurse for more than 18 years, Cara has extensive acute care nursing experience, including cardiac acute and critical care, emergency, vascular access and wound care. She has worked in health care leadership since 2009, focused on the connection between employee engagement and patient experience. Additionally, she is an adjunct clinical professor for the University of Michigan and Baker College.
Cara received a Master in Healthcare Administration and Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Ohio University.
She has been a member of the American Association of Nurses and Michigan Nurse’s Association and spoken at national and local levels on patient experience and health care process improvement. Cara is a nine-time DAISY award winner for providing exceptional patient care experiences.
