Ira F. Griffin Jr., Chief Nursing Officer

Ira F. Griffin Jr., BSN, R.N., is the chief nursing officer of Select Specialty Hospital – Spectrum Health. In this role since 2017, he organizes and administers the department of clinical services, implementing care standards and overseeing compliance to established policies, programs and procedures.

Ira was promoted to the position from house supervisor, joining Select in 1998 as a bedside nurse.

He earned a bachelor’s in nursing from Grand Canyon University and associate degree from West Shore Community College.

Ira is a member of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN) and Michigan Association of Occupational Health Nurses (MiAOHN).
