Dr. Mohammad Al-Mulki, Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Mohammad Al-Mulki is the chief medical officer for Select Specialty Hospitals South Atlanta and Atlanta Midtown. In these roles, he oversees weekly team rounds and helps to formulate and implement policies, procedures and clinical protocols.

Dr. Al-Mulki also serves as director of critical care units at Atlanta Medical Center, south campus. Previously, he worked as chief of the department of medicine, president of the medical staff, and as a board member of Atlanta Medical Center.

Dr. Al-Mulki is board-certified in internal and pulmonary medicine. His major clinical interests include pulmonary medicine and management of complex ventilated patients.

He received a medical degree from Damascus University College of Medicine and completed an internal medicine residency at the College of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He conducted a pulmonary / critical care medicine fellowship at Southwest Medical School in Dallas.
