Angel Galvez, Chief Nursing Officer

Angel L. Galvez, BSN, R.N., CCRN is the chief nursing officer of Select Specialty Hospital – Miami. Promoted to this role in 2022, he directs the hospital’s clinical services and oversees the implementation of programs, policies and procedures. Previously, he spent nearly four years leading the clinical team as the hospital’s nurse manager.

Angel joined SSH Miami’s team in 2013, having served as an ICU nurse, house supervisor and assisting the infection control and quality departments. Earlier, he worked at Coral Gables Hospital as assistant nurse manager of the intensive care unit (ICU).

He earned associate and bachelor’s degrees in nursing from Keiser University. In 2018, Angel attained CCRN certification. He is a member of the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN), the American Nurses Association (ANA) and the American Organization for Nursing Leadership (AONL).
