Jacqueline Saucier, Chief Nursing Officer
Jacqueline Saucier, Ph.D., MBA, NEA-BC, is the chief nursing officer of Select Specialty Hospital – San Diego. In this role, she organizes and administers the department of clinical services and implements care standards, policies, program and procedures.
A nurse for more than 35 years, Jacqueline has worked in a variety of large academic hospitals. She was an officer in the United States Navy, awarded a Navy Commendation medal for her accomplishments as the Quality Assurance Coordinator for Naval Hospital Naples, Italy and five outlying medical clinics. She worked as a district director, clinical operations improvement and senior director over two large emergency departments and house supervisors. Jacqueline also has extensive clinical backgrounds in critical care and emergency nursing.
She earned a doctorate from the University of San Diego, with a thesis focused on palliative care. Jacqueline received master’s degrees in business and nursing administration from San Diego State University and California State University, Dominquez Hills, respectively and obtained an undergraduate degree from California State University, San Francisco.
She is a member of the American Nurses Association (ANA), Emergency Nurses Association (ENA), American Association of Critical-Care Nursing (AACN), Association of Nurse Leaders (AONL), American Academy of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and Sigma Theta Tau International. Jacqueline is also adjunct faculty at the University of San Diego.
