Dr. Grigory Horonenko, Medical Director

Dr. Grigory Horonenko is the chief medical officer of Select Specialty Hospital – Phoenix Downtown. In this role, he assists the hospital in formulating and implementing policies, procedures and clinical protocols for patient treatment.  Dr. Horonenko also assists in formulating and implementing policies for the hospital’s quality assurance and risk management programs.

Earlier, he served as the hospital’s pulmonary program director.

Board-certified in critical care, pulmonary and internal medicine, he is a fellow in the American College of Chest Physicians and member of the American Thoracic Society and Arizona Osteopathic Medical Association.

He was published in the journal Chest in July 2007.

Dr. Horonenko conducted undergraduate studies at Arizona State University and received a medical degree from Western University of Health Sciences.  He earned a fellowship at Banner Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center and the Carl T. Hayden V.A. Medical Center.  Dr. Horonenko completed a residency in Internal Medicine at Maricopa County Medical Center.
