At times, patients in the short- term acute hospital require a longer acute care stay due to medical/surgical complications, chronic illness, trauma, and multiple injuries. The patient may not be ready to return to home, a skilled nursing facility, or a rehab. To ensure the comfort level of you or your loved one’s stay with us, we offer this general information.
