Our Admissions Coordinator will process your referrals to Select Specialty Hospital - Sioux Falls quickly and efficiently. An on-site evaluation of the patient will be completed by a Clinical Liaison within hours of the referral. The Clinical Liaison is your personal contact to Select Specialty Hospital. They will be happy to answer any questions you may have about the services we provide. Once an admission decision has been determined, the patient can often transfer the same day.

Medical Director

Dr. Rizan Hajal joined our hospital on June 1, 2007. Dr. Hajal is an independent practice physician in Sioux Falls and is Board Certified in Pulmonary, Internal Medicine and Critical Care. Dr. Hajal also has a special interest in sleep disorders.

In his role as medical director, Dr. Hajal not only provides leadership and consultation to our hospital, but also serves as a primary physician for many of our regional patients. His critical care, pulmonary and internal medicine expertise has been an asset in treating the very ill patients seen at our hospital whose last best chance for recovery is our hospital.
