Select Specialty Hospital - Orlando (South Campus) combines the specialized expertise of a large hospital with the personalized attention of a smaller setting.

Occasionally, patients in the hospital have a need for a longer acute care stay due to their illness, multiple injuries, trauma, or medical complications. The unique medical needs of these types of patients require more intensive, focused hospital care for optimal recovery. Select Specialty Hospitals are designed specifically to meet the needs of these types of extended acute care patients.

Select Specialty Hospital - Orlando (South Campus) is a newly constructed 40 bed acute care hospital. Featuring all private rooms, a six-bed intensive care unit, a surgical suite, and negative-pressure rooms. Patient rooms include a flat screen TV, satellite service, private phone and full private bath. Select - Orlando (South Campus) admits patients that qualify directly from the ICU, PCU and medical surgical units. We have an innovative approach for those patients who are not medically ready to transfer to rehab, SNF, subacute, nursing home or other lower levels of care, and need a longer acute stay for their recovery.

Designed to provide focused, multidisciplinary patient care, Select Specialty Hospital - Orlando (South Campus) specializes in the treatment of the most critical, complex medical and surgical conditions. Our high quality of care and specialized services enable us to offer on-site CT Scan, surgical suite, in-room dialysis, bed side x-ray, on-site pharmacy, and physician night coverage helping each patient reach their maximum level of wellness while producing superior patient outcomes.

Each patient is also assigned a case manager who will guide their case from admission through discharge. The case manager is available to answer questions, assist with insurance and to plan a safe, timely and appropriate discharge. Select Specialty Hospitals are Medicare certified and JCAHO accredited. We participate with most major health insurers.

Our Admissions Coordinator will process your referrals to Select Specialty Hospital - Orlando (South Campus) quickly and efficiently. An on-site evaluation of the patient will be completed by a Clinical Liaison within hours of the referral. The Clinical Liaison is your personal contact to Select Specialty Hospital. They will be happy to answer any questions you may have about the services we provide. Once an admission decision has been determined, the patient can often transfer the same day.
