Our Admissions Coordinator will process your referrals to Select Specialty Hospital - North Knoxville quickly and efficiently. An on-site evaluation of the patient will be completed by a Clinical Liaison within hours of the referral. The Clinical Liaison is your personal contact to Select Specialty Hospital. They will be happy to answer any questions you may have about the services we provide. Once an admission decision has been determined, the patient can often transfer the same day.

Dr. Jeffery S. Summers, MD is the Medical Director for Select Specialty Hospital in Knoxville. He is a graduate of University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Medicine.

Select Specialty Hospital - North Knoxville has been honored by its peers from around the nation for community service and overall excellence in recognition of the hospital's outstanding patient care, the hospital announced today.
Select Specialty Hospital - North Knoxville received the Stu Dinney Humanitarian Award for contributing to the greater Knoxville community and the Hospital of Excellence Award before the leaders of all 111 specialty hospitals in Select Medical's network at a recent ceremony in Washington, D.C.

"Giving back to the community is obviously an important part of Select's mission. On behalf of both of our hospitals here in Knoxville, we're very honored that our teams have won this community service award,"
said Steve Plumlee, CEO of Select - North Knoxville.

The Stu Dinney Award is named for a former employee and recognizes the Select hospital teams that distinguish themselves by giving of their time, talents, energy and enthusiasm to better their community. The Excellence Award recognizes both clinical and operational excellence and is only awarded after a thorough on-site validation survey.
