Select Specialty Hospital - Northeast New Jersey combines the specialized expertise of a large hospital with the personalized attention of a smaller setting.

Occasionally, patients in the hospital have a need for a longer acute care stay due to their illness, multiple injuries, trauma, or medical complications. The unique medical needs of these types of patients require more intensive, focused hospital care for optimal recovery. Select Specialty Hospitals are designed specifically to meet the needs of these types of extended acute care patients.

Select Specialty Hospital - Northeast New Jersey is the first free-standing LTACH (Long-Term Acute Care Hospital) in the state of New Jersey. Select Specialty Hospital - Northeast New Jersey specializes in caring for patients whose needs are precluded at a lower level of care or sub-acute facility. We have around-the-clock physician coverage and around-the-clock respiratory therapy. All of our nurses are RNs with critical care and ACLS accreditation. At our hospital we can provide telemetry, cardiac drip management, bedside hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, vent weaning, trach care, infectious disease management, wound care, physical, occupational and speech therapy. Select Specialty Hospital - Northeast New Jersey provides high quality, critical care within a comfortable, warm and friendly setting. We have both private and semi-private rooms, complimentary valet parking, visiting between 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM, bedside hair and nail services and a beautiful outdoor patio. Each patient is also assigned a case manager who will guide their case from admission through discharge. The case manager is available to answer questions, assist with insurance and to plan a safe, timely and appropriate discharge. Select Specialty Hospitals are Medicare certified and accredited by the Joint Commission. We participate with most major health insurers.

Our Admissions Coordinator will process your referrals to Select Specialty Hospital - Northeast New Jersey quickly and efficiently. An on-site evaluation of the patient will be completed by a Clinical Liaison within hours of the referral. The Clinical Liaison is your personal contact to Select Specialty Hospital. They will be happy to answer any questions you may have about the services we provide. Once an admission decision has been determined, the patient can often transfer the same day.
