Select Specialty Hospital - Milwaukee (St. Luke's Campus) combines the specialized expertise of a large hospital with the personalized attention of a smaller setting.

Occasionally, patients in the hospital have a need for a longer acute care stay due to their illness, multiple injuries, trauma, or medical complications. The unique medical needs of these types of patients require more intensive, focused hospital care for optimal recovery. Select Specialty Hospitals are designed specifically to meet the needs of these types of extended acute care patients.

At Select Specialty Hospital - Milwaukee (St. Luke's Campus), we treat the whole patient (physically, emotionally, socially and spiritually) by providing an interdisciplinary team of expert healthcare professionals under the direction of our specialized physicians. The staff involves the patient and family in the treatment process by helping everyone understand the care that will be provided in the personalized treatment plan that is developed for each patient on admission.

We offer 29 beds at our hospital in St. Luke's Medical Center with very flexible visiting hours and few restrictions. We welcome tours of our facility seven days per week.

Our Medical Staff consists of 450+ physicians and specialists that are available to care for our patients. Physicians round on patients daily due to their medical complexities and needs.

To make visiting as stress free as possible, free valet parking is available at the three main entrances of the St. Luke's.

Each patient is also assigned a case manager who will guide their case from admission through discharge. The case manager is available to answer questions, assist with insurance and to plan a safe, timely and appropriate discharge. Select Specialty Hospitals are Medicare certified and accredited by the Joint Commission. We participate with most major health insurers.

We are located on the 4 North floor(s) of St. Luke's Medical Center, which allows us seamless transition of patients.

Our Admissions Coordinator will process your referrals to Select Specialty Hospital - Milwaukee (St. Luke's Campus) quickly and efficiently. An on-site evaluation of the patient will be completed by a Clinical Liaison within hours of the referral. The Clinical Liaison is your personal contact to Select Specialty Hospital. They will be happy to answer any questions you may have about the services we provide. Once an admission decision has been determined, the patient can often transfer the same day.

Select Specialty Hospital Milwaukee - St. Luke's Campus participates with "Kathy's House". Kathy's House is a hospital-hospitality house, dedicated to providing lodging and a supportive environment in a "home away from home" style for families traveling to the Milwaukee area for an individual's medical care and treatment. There is no charge at Kathy's house but guests are requested to make a donation.
